Fresh beginnings at Holy Trinity Orphanage / De Nouveaux Commencements

To every season, along with the change of temperature and daylight hours, comes other changes. Summer at the Holy Trinity Orphanage (HTO) was a busy one, and the house was happy to welcome six new children, adding new rays of joy to the daily life. The most recent comers are Liza (16), Danica (13), and her brother Dainsan (11). Earlier in the year, other fresh faces have also joined the family: Aljan (13), Omar (12) and Rodel (13). Everyone is now adjusted in their new environment and is happy to find a new home. In between, four other children have left the orphanage. The former eldest of the house, April, has been granted a scholarship to study in China and is now waiting for her final papers to be done. In the meantime, she has found a part-time job and is living independently while still visiting the orphanage regularly. Another young boy of 16 has left to live with close kin as life at the orphanage deemed more difficult for him. Two of the others who recently left have been reunited with their families. Today, the house hosts 19 children and hopefully in the future, will have the capacity to reach out to more.

A chaque saison, en même temps que les variations de température, d’heure et de lumière, viennent d’autres changements. L’été à Holy Trinity Orphanage (HTO) a été bien rempli et la maison est heureuse d'accueillir six nouveaux enfants qui illuminent notre quotidien. Les derniers arrivés sont Liza (16), Danica (13) et son frère Dainsan (11). Plus tôt dans l’année, d’autres visages ont rejoint la famille: Aljan (13), Omar (12) et Rodel (13). Ces nouveaux enfants se sont bien acclimatés à leur nouvel environnement, heureux d’avoir enfin trouvé un foyer. Entre temps, quatre enfants ont quitté l’orphelinat. L’aînée, April (18), a reçu une bourse d’études pour étudier en Chine et attend les derniers documents pour partir. Pendant ce temps, elle a pu obtenir un petit travail à temps partiel et vit indépendamment, tout en visitant l’orphelinat régulièrement. Un autre garçon de seize ans est parti pour vivre avec un membre de sa famille, la vie de l’orphelinat s’étant avéré un peu plus difficile pour lui. Les deux autres enfants récemment partis ont pu être réunis avec leur famille. Aujourd’hui, la maison accueille dix-neuf enfants et nous espérons qu’à l’avenir, nous aurons la capacité d’en recevoir plus.
